Uncertainty calculations at B & C Instruments are based upon the knowledge and expertise of area management and a reasonable estimation of the performance of the methods of calibration and the measurement scope.
Generally, well-recognized test methods (OEM calibration procedures) are used that specify limits to the values of the major sources of uncertainty of measurement and specify the form of presentation of calculated results.
Measurement uncertainty is supported by uncertainty budgets and represented as expanded uncertainties typically using a coverage factor of K=2 to approximate the 95% confidence level.
